For more than a decade, Land of the Giants - a six-piece collective based in Plymouth, Devon - have been charging from coast-to-coast across the UK, Ireland and as far as India; putting their unique stamp on iconic venues whilst demanding all-out attention at major festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown and Boardmasters to name but a few...
The Giants' last single release; 'Shine On' was followed-up with a sell-out home headline show at the infamous Plymouth Pavilions. Their notorious brass section was given an injection of youth as Josh Westrip joined (now) 'Doctor' Gaz LePage alongside new recruits Ted Baker on Drums and Rob Austin on Guitar. Not to forget the heavy toe-tapping bass line of Tom Ogilvie and Mr Andy Quick’s sensuous, soaring vocals.
A long-time dream came true in the Summer of 2019 for LOTG when they were invited to support Australia's 'The Cat Empire' as part of the UK leg on their world tour. This joins the tally of other artists they've played alongside; including The Darkness, Toploader, Katchafire, Norman Jay and Gentleman's Dub Club amongst many.
As they tuck another summer of festivals under their belt; 2020 is shaping up to be a big one with the release of the latest single (plus video to boot) 'Talking To Me' - in wake of their much anticipated debut album.
Winners of Best Band at the Southwest Music Awards and tipped by many (inc. Tom Robinson of BBC Radio 6 & Radio 1's Huw Stephens) as "one of the best emerging live bands in the country"... it's looking to be the year of the Giant.
