Biography

jd meatyard is a singer songwriter on Liverpool's Probe Plus label... Glasgow born but now, apparently, living in andalusia.

The Batchain Pullers is JDM's 5th album though he's been making albums for many years, John Peel a big fan of his work as Calvin Party - Peels sessions and festive 50 awards for JDM!

JD Meatyard currently backed by BBC 6 Music's Gideon Coe show and many indie radio shows

I would describe the songs as mark e smith sings louden wainwright... or louden wainwright sings mark e smith!

“JD Meatyard offers proof that thrilling, visceral, directly political music is still available for those wishing to scratch beneath the surface. While last year’s collection, ‘Taking the Asylum’, had been John Donaldson’s most understated and reflective album, his live performances as captured on this release see him in ferocious form”.
