Biography

Edwina Hayes is a singer/songwriter who has been a regular performer on both the London and Nashville Acoustic scene since 1999. Born in Dublin on 6th June 1973, Edwina grew up in Preston, Lancashire and her beautifully crafted songs and mesmerising stage presence have led her to some of the UK's finest stages including The Royal Albert Hall in London and The Usher Hall, Edinburgh.

Dividing her time between the UK and America, Edwina's second home is Nashville where she is much loved on the Songwriting circuit and has been a regular performer at The Bluebird Cafe, 12th & Porter, Brown's Diner and the (much missed) Sherlock Holmes on Elliston Place.

In March 2003 Edwina signed as a writer with Warner Chappell. Her influences include Ray Charles, Carole King, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin and Bob Dylan, and one of her dreams is to be the opening act on Bob Dylan's Never-Ending Tour.

2005 was an amazing year for Edwina as she released her debut album on the Warner Brothers label and had one of her songs chosen to go on the No.1 bestselling CD 'Acoustic Love'.

Also in 2005 Edwina toured the UK for the first time with some fantastic artists including; Jools Holland, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Ricky Ross, Loudon Wainwright III and Daniel Beddingfield.

2006 so far has seen Edwina record an album with Cathy Burton and Amy Wadge, two amazing singer/songwriter friends that Edwina has joined forces with on a side project called Hummingbird.

Edwina's second album, Pour Me A Drink, came out 22nd February 2008 and is avaliable via her website.
