Biography

FUNK WITH GRIT, SOUL WITH HEART AND POP WITH PASSION

Cousin Avi are as far from ‘vanilla’ as you can get. With multiple self-released records under their belts plus eight years of independent touring across the UK, Europe and South America behind them, (including Brixton, Cafe De Paris, Jazz Cafe & Brownstock, sharing the bill with acts such as, Amy Winehouse, Basement Jaxx, Example & Katy B), the Avi train doesn’t look as though it’ll be resting anytime soon.

2017 saw the release of Cousin Avi's first record in 2 years, 'Take It Away', in which the band raised all of the production funds purely by crowd funding, using Pledge Music - eventually hitting 148% of their target before a sell out home town release show. A week of BBC airplay across the UK on BBC Georgey Tonight as ‘introducing artist of the week' followed, along with festival performances, including sharing the bill with Jools Holland.

They are currently in the studio, writing and recording their debut album.
