Being a descendant of the windrush generation, Lucy’s sound being very much a continuation of the sonic framework that her ancestors built when they came to the Uk, blending western nostalgia with global majority riddims with an ancestral love for soca and reggae, she is taking inspiration from nature and the things we sometimes fail to notice.
