Enormously successful Korean boy band formed in 2010 who became one of the most important and widely known crossover successes of the K-Pop phenomenon. Have sold in excess of 40 million albums. Started as primarily a hip-hop influenced band but have diversified into multiple other genres. In 2020, BTS became the first non-western and non-English speaking artist to be named IFPI's Global Recording Artist of the Year.
