Ever been in the mood for a little holiday accompanied by some quality live music? Well lucky for you there's a solution we like to call, festival season. Not limited to one corner of the world, festivals are a prime time to witness some of your musically talented faves take the stage, all while surrounded by like-minded people.

And one location who are no stranger to putting on a cracking music festival, while providing some of the most breathtaking tourism is no other than, Belgium. The Belgians do not mess about when it comes to the celebration of music, and even better they love to spread it across quite a few days; meaning more partying, banging beer, and even better chocky.

So no matter what type of music you’re into, there is a big chance there is going to be something for you. Whether you want a huge gathering or an intimate party, you can find a fest to suit your needs. So let's not mess about. Here are the best music festivals in Belgium. 

 

 

Graspop Metal Meeting

Where: Dessel in Antwerp, Belgium

2024 lineup:  Five Finger Death Punch, Scorpions, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Kerry King and more

There is something quite sweet about moshing out with a like-minded crowd around you, embracing the heavy sounds of non-stop metal,  hard rock, and nu-metal. Graspop Metal Meeting returns for its 2024 edition, welcoming a healthy 220,000 rockers who aren’t afraid to express themselves. 

And to help them do it, Graspop has put together an insane lineup to fulfil every rocker's dreams from, Abbath Performing Immortal, Alice Cooper, Alien Weaponry, Body Count ft Ice T, Five Finger Death Punch and many more. It's going to be a real sight to see. 

Graspop spans over four days and if you're a real rocker who wants nothing more than to head bang til your neck sore, this is definitely the place for you.

 


 

Pukkelpop

Where: Kiewit, Hasselt in Belgium

2024 lineup: Raye, Thee Sacred Souls, KETTAMA, Channel Tres, Dimension, Dizziee Rascal, Fred Again..., Jorja Smith, J Hus, Stormzy and loads more 

Pukkelpop has been Belgium's biggest alternative music festival since its birth in the 80s. Hundreds of thousands travel from all over the world to check out this festival which boasts pretty incredible, diverse lineups. This year their lineup triumphs again following through with their ehtos to the T. 

From 6-time Brit Award winner, Raye, to Thee Sacred Souls, KETTAMA, Channel Tres, DimensionDizziee RascalFred Again...Jorja SmithJ HusStormzy and loads more. As you can imagine Pukklepop is huge but don' just take our word for it, book that ticket and see for yourself.

 


 

Couleur Café

Where: Brussels in Belgium

2024 lineup: Tems, Masego, Tyla, SiR, Action Bronson, Biga*Ranx, Austin Milz, Julian Marley, and loads more

Couleur Café Festival books acts from multiple genres but focuses on those of African or Caribbean origin. Common genres on the fest's lineup include hip hop, funk, soul, reggae, electronic, Latin, and dub. This spirited event goes down in a stunning location surrounded by towering trees, green grass, and fresh air. And with fancy dress, drumming groups, and dancers, the vibes stay fresh and welcoming. Outside the tunes, expect world cuisine, cocktail bars, free dance classes, and plenty more thrills at this multi-cultural fest.

 


  

Tomorrowland

"Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever" - that's Tomorrowland's ethos, which tells you plenty about the vibe there. 

Tomorrowland is the undisputed champion of European electronic music festivals and they return to celebrate 20 years of it. Whether you’re looking to go hard to the Earth-shattering thumping of hardstyle bangers, two-step to house tunes, or ascend to delicious trance music, there’s something for you. Tomorrowland’s lineup always covers just about every genre and sub-genre imaginable in electronic music. 

The fest has a super extravagant stage design and décor to match its theme (which changes every year), however, expect it to be super magical matched with the most unimaginable stage design. It's almost like its own world, and we couldn't imagine a better place to reside for two weekends. 

 


 

Rock Werchter

Where: Festival Park in Werchter, Belgium 

2024 lineup: Lenny Kravitz, Arlo Parks, Avril Lavigne, Jessie Ware, Jungle, Maneskin, Marc Rebillet, Noname, Zara Larsson, Yungblud and more

Back again with a stunning lineup, the award-winning Rock Werchter brings hip hop, rock, alt rock, metal, indie, electronic, and pop tunes to Belgium. Straight off the bat, we’ve got some huge, iconic names in headline slots. And there are plenty of other killer artists on the lineup, like Lenny KravitzArlo ParksAvril LavigneJessie WareJungleManeskinMarc RebilletNonameZara LarssonYungblud and more. 

With a lineup like that, it’s going to be a hard one to top. And if the stunning lineup wasn’t enough to convince you, this Belgian festival has been praised in the past for great organisation with free earplugs, short queues, and easy access to water.

 


 

Les Ardentes

Where: Bressoux in Liège, Belgium

With a focus on many different genres, but still with a focus on hip hop, Les Ardentes has seen a variety of artists, and this year they're amping up their game. embracing the crowd of Les Ardnets is DJ SnakeGunnaDoja Cat21 SavageCentral Cee, Don Toliver, D- Block Europe, and many more. 

The crowds at Les Ardentes are always up for a mad one, resulting in highly energetic performances and an electric atmosphere you’ll be sad to leave behind. It’s one of the Belgian music festivals hip-hop fans should keep an eye on. 

 


 

Dour Festival

Where: Dour in Belgium

2024 lineup: Mungos Hi Fi Feat Aziza Jaye & Solo Banton, The Blessed Madonna, The Libertines, Amine, Bicep, Camelphat, Ezra Collective and more

Oh look, another five-day bash! With 230+ artists, 8 stages, and 6 campsites, Dour Festival is all about great vibes, freedom, and love. The full lineup has (almost) been released, and from the names already on the list it's looking pretty incredible. With Mungos Hi Fi Feat Aziza Jaye & Solo Banton, The Blessed MadonnaThe Libertines, Amine, BicepCamelphatEzra Collective already on the bill.

Another diverse event, Dour typically has has electronic, rock, pop, RnB, punk, hip hop, indie, techno, and even metal artists on its stages. The music blares on from midnight all the way up to 5 am, so if you’re struggling with a rough hangover, you can sleep it off and still have plenty of time to check out the music. Day tickets are available but to fully immerse yourself, enjoy the spirit, and all the wide array of tunes available, we reckon a full five-day pass is the way to go. 

 


 

Reggae Geel

Where: Meerhoutseweg, Geel in Belgium

2024 lineup: Julian Marley & The Uprising, YG Marley, Arrested Development, Ygn Cptn, Skikkibeng, Ras Kush/ Black Redemption Sounds and more

The biggest reggae festival in Belgium and Europe’s oldest reggae fest in Europe, if you love chill, sunny tunes, Reggae Geel might be your paradise. Reggae, ska, rocksteady, dub, dancehall, and roots are showcased across four stages, celebrating Jamaica's rich musical cultures. Offering mainstream and underground artists, you’re sure to enjoy the best of the genre while discovering hidden treasures. Outside the tunes, you can revel in the stunning visual arts, poetry, film, workshops, and more. With a strong belief that art should be accessible, tickets for this fest are always cheap, with those 12 and under gaining free entry. 

 


 

Rampage Open Air

When: Friday 5th - Sunday 7th July 2024 

Where: Kristalpark in Lommel, Belgium 

2024 lineup: Andy C (exclusive 3hr set), Pendulum, Rudim3ntal, Svden Death, Voyd, Virtual Riot, and more

Earth-shattering bass, wild crowds, and immaculate vibes are staples of Rampage, a massive drum and bass and dubstep festival. 60,000 fans will descend on the festival for three days of raving, four nights of camping, and pure hedonism soundtracked by the filthiest tunes. 

You can even get on the Rampage train (literally), which takes you directly to the site, where you can begin your raving early on Thursday while waiting for the real party to begin! To us, it sounds like every raver's dream!

 


 

Paradise City Festival

When: Friday 28th - Sunday 30th 2024

Where: Ribaucourt Castle in Perkum

2024 lineup: ANOTR, Jonny Nash, Blck Mamba, Larson, Soft Focus, Orion, Rex the Dog and more

Paradise City is an electronic festival known for its environmentally friendly approach and, of course, banging tunes. It all goes down in a beautiful garden area surrounded by water, and breakfast is included in your camping ticket. Not bad at all! This year, the fest is debuting a smaller sixth stage for further dancing. With a super strong focus on inclusivity and ensuring everyone has a banging time, the festival puts in extra measures to keep the peace, including the Angels of Paradise team, who patrol the grounds to keep a smile on everyone’s face from start to finish. Green, wholesome, and with cracking underground tunes, it’ll be a blast. 

 


 

Lokerse Festival

2024 lineup: Clouseau40, Oscar and the Wolf, Anne Marie, Korn, Pheonix, The Roots and many more 

There are a fair few amount of festivals that can keep you on the edge of your seat for a week, bringing out stand-out artists one after the other. However, Lokerse Festival is not like all the rest! Returning with its 49th edition, this festival is a highly anticipated one in Belgium. 

It's a festival that knows how to cater to all their 125, 000 festival goer, with having genre-dedicated days to split up the 10 days of non-stop music. They even go as far as having days dedicated to artists from certain parts of the world (how cool). 

There is a clear reason for why it's been going for so long, and if you want to see what truly goes down at Lokerse then wait no longer and get booking!

 


 

Belgium is more than just silky chocolate, and smooth beers. It's a city that's vibrant and filled with multiple music festivals. However, if you want to have a proper European summer filled with banging live music; we have a bucket load!
