Did you know there are some great musicians from Wales? Besides Tom Jones, obviously. Alongside the Sex Bomb singer, there’s Catfish and the Bottlemen, Neck Deep, Marina and the Diamonds, Bullet For My Valentine, Stereophonics and Feeder. They don’t call it the Land of Song for nothing!
Speaking of great music, with such stunning landscapes including castles, beaches, ruins and vast green fields, Wales is a fantastic location for a music festival. Even when the fest is over, you can have some fun. You could check out the picturesque landscapes of Anglesey, surf, kayak, or hike up Mount Snowdon and fill your lungs with fresh air as you take in the unreal views all around you.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? We’re getting excited just thinking about it. So we’ll get straight into this one. Check out these brilliant Welsh music festivals.

When: Late May
Where: Old Park Farm Margam in Port Talbot
The multi-genre favourite In It Together is one of the biggest festivals in the whole of the valleys, and has seen the likes of Noel Gallagher, James, Rag'N'Bone Man, Dizzee Rascal, Clean Bandit, Two Door Cinema Club, and many more headline over recent years. Spread across three stages, it's easily one of the most eclectic and diverse lineups you could ask for, providing the best of any genre from past, present and future. You could be a techno fan or a reggae fan or anywhere in between; it's got something for you.
If you need a break from the tunes (although, with this lineup, we doubt you will), you can check out the climbing wall, arts and crafts, the outdoor cinema, the jitterbug circus, and so, so much more. It’s always an absolute vibe. So get those tickets secured, and start packing your bags!

When: Mid-August
Where: Brecon Beacons in Wales
Easily Wales' coolest music festival, and one of the most coveted festival tickets in the whole country, Green Man always has one of the most interesting and diverse lineups, especially if you're a self-proclaimed 6 Music dad. Recent headliners have included Underworld, TV On The Radio, Big Thief, Kraftwerk, Michael Kiwanuka, and many more. Basically, they know what they're doing...
Plus, this festival's faithful are truly trusting and committed. Green Man sells out every year before even a single name has been announced, which should be all you need to know about how good this place is, but it also means if you want to experience the wonders on offer, you have to commit early too.
But it's not just the music that keeps people coming back. The vast array of arts and science offerings gives the Brecon Beacons-based affair a multitude of arrows in its already appealing quiver. From spoken word to comedy, sunrise yoga to gong baths, scientific installations and talks to solar-powered stages. Green Man truly has it all.
