It’s warmer, the sun is shining (sometimes), the clouds are raining a fair bit, and the days are getting longer now.

It’s got us pining for when summer’s in full swing. The time when we’ll be at day parties, having barbecues, and running away when we’re sat in the beer garden but hear that sudden jolting buzzing in our ear. But still, we can handle a wasp or two if it means we get to enjoy a cold one in the sun.

Regardless of the weather, we’ve got some brilliant summer, some spring, and one or two winter events in this week’s New On Skiddle. Events like Tiesto, The Big Family Day Out Festival, Levels' Ibiza, a unique party in a paintball arena, a techno party with Alan Fitzpatrick and Lilly Palmer, Sean Paul live, and more.

Jacidorex - Liverpool

When: Friday 3rd May 2024

Where: Wav Liverpool in Liverpool

Making his long-awaited return to Liverpool, Belgium’s Jacidorex, armed with some incredible support artists, is ready to get one of the best clubs in Liverpool jumping for 7 hours straight.

Bringing techno, hard dance, and hard trance sounds to Wav, he’ll be joined on the decks by rapidly rising Scottish star CADZOW, north-west England’s PALØ, Liverpool’s MXGN, KXD, D-AMAGE, REGANRYAN, and INESON.

If you love hard-hitting techno, discovering up-and-comers on the circuit alongside the big names, and underground venues, you’re looking at your perfect event.

Sean Paul Live in Concert

When: Tuesday 9th July 2024

Where: Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry

The multi-award-winning Jamaican legend, Sean Paul, is back in Coventry this summer. With bangers like ‘Like Glue’, ‘Temperature’, ‘No Lie’ with Dua Lipa, ‘Get Busy’, and far too many more to list here, the hitmaking machine stops by Coventry for a special show, having missed it on his recent UK tour.

Just a few years after the 20th anniversary of Dutty Rock, and with his new album Scorcha out now, now’s the best time to check out the legend in action.

The Big Family Day Out Festival

When: Sunday 12th May 2024

Where: Williamson Park in Lancaster

Highest Point Festival’s Big Family Day Out returns this year to Lancaster’s Williamson Park with plenty to keep littluns and their adults happy.

The main stage will see performances from Peat & Diesel, MC Grammar - the multi-award-winning rapping teacher, The Moonshine Shakers, Molly Warburton, George Lawson, and Kendal & Lancaster Stagecoach on the main stage.

There’ll be magicians, Price Of My Pig Ceilidh, Dr Butler's Hatstand Medicine Jazz Band, the Rajasthan Brass Band, dance and aerial shows, bubbles, Ragtag Arts & Community Scrapstore, and so much more, including plenty for babies and young children.

Tidy Girls 25

When: Saturday 30th November 2024

Where: O2 Academy Bournemouth in Bournemouth

The original Tidy Girls are reuniting for just one night of bounce, hard house, and dance to celebrate 25 years since the release of the Tidy Girls EP, and 25 years of the iconic Tidy Girls as a whole.

All four original Tidy Girls - that’s Lisa Lashes, Rachel Auburn, Lisa Pin Up, and Anne Savage - come to Bournemouth for one night only this winter.

Each established artists in their own right before banding together as the Tidy Girls by Tidy, the four have played a vital role in the scene, paving the way for other women in the game like Hannah Laing.

WATB present Alan Fitzpatrick, Lilly Palmer & Gina Liverpool

When: Friday 26th April 2024

Where: Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool

One of the best clubs in Liverpool boasts a seriously delicious lineup of techno and house with some killer names.

We Are The Brave brings the legendary Alan Fitzpatrick to Invisible Wind Factory in just a month’s time. Having been closely linked to Drumcode for some time and his many shows at London’s Fabric, this is a DJ/producer you can trust to wow a crowd.

Joining him is Lilly Palmer, a DJ/producer we’re amazed hasn’t properly blown up yet, and, finally, Gina completes the bill. This one kicks off at around 10pm and will =take you all the way to the early hours with nothing but straight bangers.

Lost in the Woods 2024

When: Saturday 11th May 2024

Where: SAS Paint Balling Site in Loughborough

Party in a paintball arena? Not something we had on our bingo cards but now it’s an option, how can we say no?

This is the second year that Lost in Music, Enzo, and P.O.P will have thrown a party in a paintball arena, and they’re transforming it into an outdoor musical paradise. They bring house and techno DJs, fantastic production, food, and drink offers to this unique daytime party.

The venue is just 12 minutes away from Loughborough, and to make getting there that bit easier, tickets with transportation are available too. Grab yours below!

Levels Ibiza events

When: Tuesday 7th May, Tuesday 11th June, Monday 2nd September, and Tuesday 8th October 2025

Where: Monkey Club in Sant Antoni

After five years of selling out shows in the UK, particularly in Birmingham’s Lab11, Levels are kicking things up a notch with a residency on the world’s most magical party island.

For these events, they bring the fundamentals the brand is known and loved for - carefully curated lineups, an unbeatable atmosphere, and next-level production - but at the lush, sunny island’s new club with neon lighting, disco balls, and trees and plants for decor.

We’re still waiting for lineup announcements for each event except the opening party, which boasts FLETCH, Vito, Blondi, Jack Gardner, and Em Beswick. But with over 30 upcoming artists and special guests total across the events, we know the lineups will be incredible.
