You'd find it hard to discover a venue more fitting to Ghostpoet's looped poetic forays than the intimateness of Gullivers in Manchester. He plays there on Thursday 29th January, and the tickets are extremely limited.
Signed to Gilles Peterson's imprint Bronswood Recordings, Ghostpoet fuses anxious literary ramblings with down tempo electro to culminate a cleansing urban output that's already fashioned him a Mercury Prize.
It's easy to see why radio 6 taste maker Gilles Peterson is a big fan, starting with his lauded debut longplayer Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam, an emotive scope on modern life bottled into a pool of yearning electro, that included 'Liiines' above . And judging by his most recent working, Some Say I So I Say Light, it's not one to be missed by the musical purists. Grab your tickets here.
