Review of David Ford
David Ford never disappoints however the new economic related tracks were rough around the edges, interesting but 50/50 about them. Sound balance took 3-4 tracks to be spot on. Track selection not as strong as the other shows such as the Charge and Arrangement tours. Overall a top night if music and entertainment. Intriguing venue and would return and will always try to catch Mr. Ford when he tours, as I have been hyper critical here and I would strongly recommend any genuine music fan to get to see him at any opportunity as he never fails to deliver music with real depth, honesty and soul. 8/10 (Union Chapel with the strings was 10/10 as a comparison). Go on treat yourself and immerse yourself in a serious British talent who for better or worse is the best kept secret on the UK music scene since Songs for the Road !

How to nearly make it to a David Ford concert
Two (formerly) huge fans travel from Birmingham. Struggle to park. Enter restaurant. Get completely ignored for 25 minutes by at least four staff members. Watch couple who came in after them finish their food. Continue to wait. Meal finally arrives. Both agree this is the worst meal they have ever had. Try to pay for ridiculously overpriced meal but it takes too long. Go upstairs to concert. No seats available. Leave without seeing David Ford.
Review of Martin Simpson
Unbelievably beautiful venue, converted Convent sympathetically converted to a hotel, restaurant and intimate music venue. Couldn’t have been done better. Was nice to have time before the show to just sit and take in the surroundings.
Martin was as competent as ever, absolutely superb musician, probably the best in his solo folk/traditional male solo. I’ve seen him several times before and did think this time he spent more time talking and tuning that previous shows, so we got less listening time. I also personally prefer many of his own compositions, whereas he played a lot of other people’s on this occasion. Was disappointed he didn’t play Duncan and Brady this time, as the race to the finish given the speed of the piece is always entertaining. Really enjoyed it and would see Martin again to see if he revisits some of his older compositions again. Take a coat if going to this venue, the Chapel performance space is freezing in winter!

Review of The Carrivick Sisters
Fantastic evening of top quality music by talented multi instrumentalists and great storyteller songwriters. The venue and the songs were a great match - ghost songs in a spooky gothic convent!

Review of The Carrivick Sisters
As always, The Carrivick Sisters treated us to a consummately professional set, both multi-instrumentalists, and voices of Angels... a real treat. The session was being recorded as a 10th Anniversary live concert - I hope the sound coes out as well as it sounded on the night... lovely
