Steve Angello's Size Records has for some time now been the home to some of the most respected exponents of big room sounds. With the Swedish dance music overlord continuing to showcase the most searing and salacious sounds the genre has to offer, it's artists like London duo Third Party that continue to push forward the boundaries of that all conquering leviathan we call big room house.

We caught up with them to find out how it all started, what they've got in store for us at Bitch, and what's on the horizon for the revered two piece.

Hi guys! Are you looking forward to playing at Bitch on the 31st? How do you find playing in Manchester?

Manchester is always great! It's been too long since we've played at Venus so we are really looking forward to it.

With your touring schedule taking you right round the world, how does the scene in the UK compare to the rest?

We have played some pretty crazy venues around the world but their is something special about playing on home soil. Playing at venues we used to go to when we were kids is always a surreal experience.

You’ve enjoyed increasing plaudits as your career has progressed for your productions. What makes a Third Party production different? Do you have a set ideal that you work towards with each record?

To be honest we don't have a strict methodical process, all of our tracks seem to come out of chucking different ideas together until the right two glue to hopefully produce the right kind of magic we need to feel before we then try to finish a track. (Hear some of that magic in their set for Angello's Radio One Residency above)

When did you realise that music would be your career? Was there a certain record you heard, or night you went to that made you think ‘Yeah, this is what I want to do’?

I guess the first time we realised we wanted music to be out career was when we decided to study at Alchemea Music College in London. We didn't necessarily go in thinking we'd be music producers or DJs but we definitely had a passion for music. From there, living in London, we experienced more of the club scene and our productions went more along that path.

What are you guys up to in the summer? Have you any festivals you’re looking forward to paying? Will you be gracing Ibiza with your presence?

Summer is looking good. We're just finalising our plans for Ibiza but it all looks very exciting!

Have you any new releases or remixes we can look forward to?

Yes, we're very excited for our new single "Everyday of My Life" to come out on Size records 27th May (preview above). It's had a great reaction so far so can't wait for it to come out!

And finally, hypothetical question… You have the power to throw the ultimate rave. You can play alongside any DJ from the past or present. Where would you have it, who would be on the bill, and what track would you play to define the evening?

Playing with Eric Prydz at Creamfields (where they will be playing this year) and hearing 'Powerdrive' would be something special.
