 S. Berry | Review of Macdonald Manchester Overall rating:  A nice hotel - I've stayed both here and at the macdonald townhouse hotel. It's a nice big hotel with clean rooms and the bathrooms make it worth the extra money. Staff are always pleasant however both times I'v stayed there have been issues with them not recognising the name "skiddle" however this time they upgraded us because of this. Some of the carpets etc and the hallways look to be getting a little on the shabby side but I'm being picky. Mostly worth the price and a good location. | |||||||||||||||

The room was big, nicely decorated and very clean. We also had an amazing view of Manchester out of our window. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is convenient to the station and the staff were friendly and helpful. | |||||||||||||||

| anonymous | Review of Macdonald Manchester Overall rating: I stayed here for a concert i was attending that night and because my girlfriend had injured her ankle in football the huge bed was perfect it was an amazing room i highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a gorgeous hotel in Manchester worth every penny i spent on it, our room service was amazing aswell we ordered the steak even though it was expensive it was cooked perfectly and was lovely and warm when it arrived we only had a 15-20 minute wait aswell seriously i highly recommend this hotel its more then worth the money! | |||||||||||||||

Receptions staff were extremely friendly, room was spacious, clean and had an excellant shower/ bathroom facitlity. We did not use the restaraunt, so cannot comment on food, but did use the bar area at the end of the night and it had a ood atmosphere and really nice staff. | |||||||||||||||

| Jo Bell | Review of Macdonald Manchester Overall rating: We stayed here for New Year's Eve (at a discount price, otherwise could never have afforded it)and really enjoyed it. The City View room had a picture window onto the city, and it is less than 5 mins' walk from Piccadilly Station. The huge bath and shower were very welcome the morning after the night before! Not a budget option but ideal for a treat or a special night out in Manchester. | |||||||||||||||

Claire271 Offline Points:38 Posts: 2 | Review of Macdonald Manchester Overall rating: Beautiful big room with stunning views over the city. Very courteous and friendly staff. Beautiful food and drinks. The Thermal Spa was a real treat though I was dissapointed there wasn't a pool. The steam room, Infrared sauna, traditional sauna, cold room and "experience" shower were the perfect antidote to a very heavy night out! I recommend opting for the valet parking which is only £18 as opposed to £12 overnight. I think it's worth paying a bit extra for. Unfortunately the hotel carpark was full and although the NCP carpark was very close it did seem a long way to walk in the morning with luggage and snow! Perfect location for the Warehouse Project, just a short walk round the corner, would recommend Monroes as a pre club bar. I would definitely stay again. | |||||||||||||||

| Anonymous | I stayed in Macdonald a few weeks after it opened last year. I usually stay in Macdonald's but this hotel was above the usual quality. The double room was enormous, and the view was quite amazing being on the 7th floor I think. The staff were a let down, obviously do not like ravers!! But the food was again fantastic! Would definatly stay in there again. | |||||||||||||||
