The hotel is easily accessible as it is situated close to junction 5 of the M1. This magnificent Victorian building is the former residence of Sir William Gilbert, the writing half of the Gilbert and Sullivan partnership. The lodge is merely yards from the entrance to the main house and offers the same sense of peace and tranquility as it is surrounded by trees and overlooks the gardens. Facilities include multi-satellite TV channels, business services include direct-dial telephones, typing, copying and faxing service. Period rooms also include personal laundry service, 24 hour room service and fruit basket. Should you find a reason to venture from your room (although we can't imagine why you would want to!) Gilbert's Restaurant proffers an elegant decor in which to enjoy delectable, 2 AA Rosette-recommended fare.
