The GSA Students' Association (The Art School) is a creative space, club and live music venue. An 800 capacity building arranged over two floors with three project spaces, a downstairs, 300 capacity, cafe bar restaurant referred to as The Vic and a large 500 capacity upstairs space known as The Assembly Hall with touring standard audio-visual facilities.

Many of Scotland’s best known bands, producers, DJs and contemporary artists have their roots in The Art School, and the venue has developed an international reputation in its own right over the last 30 years.

The operation of the Students' Association is overseen by the SRC council and sabbatical officers elected by the student body - The Art School LTD trades as a direct subsidiary to the Students' Association and is run by a board of directors including the sabbatical officers.

The GSA Students' Association is a charitable organisation, no.SC044061, whose commercial proceeds (generated via The Art School LTD) are invested in the running of student orientated events, upkeep of the association and the funding of student initiated projects.
