Review of A Star Is Born - Open Air Cinema at Powderham Castle
Very disorganised!!! Film started late. Quality of the film not great. Advertised as food available, however they only had hotdogs which they ran out of within five minutes. Not a great experience at all

Long queue to get in, needed more staff to escort people to their seats, cosequently film was late in starting and therefore finished late. The ground dropped away from the screen instead of rising as in a normal cinema or theatre so the screen should have been raised higher

Great evening! Had a lovely time and the film was good. Would recommend telling standard ticket holders that chairs will be provide, as many people bought camp chairs/rugs and didn’t need them- but other than that it was well organised.

Review of The Lion King 2019 - Open Air Cinema at Powderham Castle
Advertised they would be selling hot and cold food and there was only popcorn!
Staff weren’t fantastic, seemed as though they hadn’t been properly briefed on Covid procedures, was advised seats had been santised but we were shown to seats covered in sugar!
Seating was well arranged, apart from the fact the sun was setting behind the screen so it was hard to see at times. But audience were all considerate of each other and it was a pleasant evening

Review of The Lion King 2019 - Open Air Cinema at Powderham Castle
Sadly the screen was positioned so the sun was in our eyes for almost the whole film. An oversight I'm sure could have been thought about before putting the screen up and positioning the chairs. The sound quality was fair and could be heard from far back - a slight echo could be heard coming from the surroundings but that's fine. Unfortunately the staff were a young crowd and a bunch of younger teenagers managed to sneak in without paying and cause distractions, the movement of people through out the whole film was also annoying, as was the use of 'Sun umbrellas' by alot of the audience (something maybe that should be banned... you'd think the staff would think to say something). The movement of the audience throughout the whole movie was upsetting, not only because it was highly distracting people popping up to get more drinks and treat it as a booze up, but mainly because we are in the middle of Corona and there was no social distancing measures.
Also £15 for the cinema with the sun in your eyes is not something I'd be looking to spend again.

initial organisation seemed poor with no signs detailing where to wait and where the entrance was. this caused confusion and two queues forming and a large gathering all trying to get seated.

I think the queues needed to be more clear, nobody knew where the queue led to and if they was a difference with VIP or standard ticket holders. more organised next time. however the rest was lovely.

The whole thing was really unorganised, there was no social distancing between the set out chairs, no communication from any staff and the film was almost an hour late starting.
