Had a great weekend In family area campsite with camper van ,
Only managed to see couple bands , enjoyed silent disco , dance tents and atmosphere was great too , fireworks and burning of wickerman superb

Ive been going for last 3 years this years was ruined by gs security before we even got into site taking drink of us claiming we were only allowed 4 cans each per day this is a money making ploy which i intend to publicise. In an already overpriced festival for standard of acts this festival is being ruined an losing its chilled family atmosphere. Also cut backs in toilet an shower facilities and still charging £12 per person is just greed.. get it sorted organisers or do one!!!

As always a great experience and an even better atmosphere!! Love this festival its a family favourite!!
My only criticism is the supposedly luxury tipi that we stayed in, all the family were extremely disappointed as there was nothing luxury about it

Superb family festival but, Headline acts need a shake up. Festivals like Kendal Calling are proving to have better headliners every year. The Wickerman can't forever rely on its great friendly atmosphere. Although saying that there are some great smaller bands in the numerous tents around the site.

Been going to wickerman festival since 2003. Great family festival, loads for the kids to do, Very laid back atmosphere unlike t in the park where you would never dream of taking a kid. Cost of tickets very reasonable with ample space for tents/ caravans etc. toilets & showers are the cleaner than most festivals I have attended and I have been to a lot. Mixture of music to suit everyone's taste. Everyone very friendly including the staff & vendors, most of them been coming for years aswell, I know some of them by 1st name term and look forward to meeting them every year for a wee chat. I would recommend the festival 100% for anyone not sure about going with kids, guarantee they will enjoy it more than any holiday and you will too. Last of all the burning of the wickerman and fireworks ends the festival with an amazing bang👍💥 not to be missed.

Returned with my 4 kids again this year and none of us were disappointed ⛺️ The food was reasnabley priced , tasted great , just the £26 pound for a jug of pins was a bit out there !!!! Loved Jimmy cliff , squeeze were magic and example had the place rocking , a must for next year

First time bringing kids all in all had a fab weekend, just a few wee exceptions! Not a lot of space left in family campsite when we arrived! Priority should be given to families first! There didn't seem to be as much for kids this year... This the major attraction of wickerman please don't lose it. The dj music on saturday night was ridiculous went onto at least 5.30! So near family campsite!!? Luckily my girls slept I didn't though! Not good for driving home. Down and dirty facilities not as good this year! Abs quite a trek!

This was my fourth visit to The Wickerman and was as brilliant, dismaying, life-affirming, character-building, and exhausting as the previous three.
- Brilliant: After requesting Julian Cope as an act worth booking on several occasions via this site, the Wickerpeeps finally got hold of him - he, RM Hubbert, Holy Mountain, and Aiden Moffat & Bill Wells were the highlights of my festival and even The Waterboys (who I've seen several times and was until this fest fairly ambivalent about) did a sterling job as Friday headliners.
- Dismaying: chilly overnight weather was horrific; as was (for me) the choice of a DJ for the Saturday headliner (am I getting old?), also I'd like to see more lavvies, particularly on the Quiet camping area. Utterly distraught to hear first hand from a friend we went with about a pretty heavy fight (kicking?) he witnessed on Friday night - but I guess you can't legislate for lunatics.
- Character-building: (See 'chilly overnight weather')
- Exhausting: Staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning for three nights in a row just takes it out of me now! Especially when it's hard to lie-in in a tent :-P
- Life-affirming to see so many people with smiles on their faces :-)
Recommendations:
- A 'proper' headliner for Saturday night
- More loos
- That's it really :-D
