Trilogy Part I Kicks Off a Season of Huge Events in Leeds

Trilogy kicked off last weekend, with a stormer of a party at Leeds University Union featuring Annie Mac, Nero and Andy C.

A new collaboration between Metropolis and Wax:On, Trilogy is a series of three (of course) huge events set to take Leeds by storm this winter with some line-ups of truly epic proportions.

Boasting three rooms of the most cutting edge dance and electronic music the world has to offer, Trilogy Part I saw the likes of Andy C, Annie Mac, Nero and more take to the floor. 

Annie Mac arrived at Trilogy with close friend and BBC Radio 1 partner-in-crime Nick Grimshaw, who then proceeded to crowd surf across the Stylus room much to the delight of everyone present. The anthem of the night came courtesy of Nero’s awesome ‘Crush On You’, which was played out by Annie, North Base and, of course, Nero themselves.

Following the tragic death of DJ Medhi last week, Trilogy Part I saw hundreds of clubbers arrive sporting “RIP Medhi” t-shirts. And on the terrace, the winner of the first Trilogy Facebook competition whipped the crowd into a frenzy before Brookes Brothers and Northern Lights amongst others took the helm and saw out the night.

With Part I well and truly cementing Trilogy’s position as one of the most exciting new winter clubbing experiences in the UK, all eyes have been firmly fixed on Parts II and III in October and November respectively. 

Trilogy Part II

Part II features some of the most exciting new names in dance music including Tempa T, The 2 Bears and Azari & III alongside a hugely anticipated appearance from Knife Party, the elusive new project from Pendulum fellas Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, Labrinth and Shy FX. Ditching their guitars for decks, the Friendly Fires boys will also be making a special DJ appearance at Trilogy Part II.

Trilogy Part III

And the pressure doesn’t let up as we head into November and the final part of this inaugural Trilogy season. Starring two of the three Magnetic Man collaborators – Skream and Benga – alongside the Mr. Nice of electronic music Erol Alkan and critically-acclaimed newcomers Hudson Mohawke and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - the latter of which will be performing live – Leeds University Union Complex is the only place to be this winter.
