Sven Vath makes his debut at The Masque for the penultimate Circus of 2011!

Sven Vath, Lewis Boardman, Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli line-up for Circus at The masque on November 25th. 

Cocoon's Sven Vath is one of the world’s most in-demand DJs around, breathing the same rarefied air like fellow talismans Carl Cox and Ricardo Villalobos. Sven’s weekly Monday parties are the club night du jour In Ibiza, boasting the heavyweights of the thriving scene including Ritchie Hawtin and Loco Dice each tussling weekly with the man himself. And this show will mark a first for Sven because, whilst he has played Liverpool before (taking over Nation’s Main Room for Circus) he has never yet played The Masque.

Pulsating techno, groove-laden house and fizzing electro form his relentless sets. Circus’ resident Lewis Boardman is on hand to stoke The Theatre up for a 3 hour set. Taking the helm and responsibility for The Theatre in Yousef’s absence is a chance for Lewis to show how far he has evolved. With releases out on Rekids and Souvenir, he continues to mature as a brilliant DJ.

The Loft sees two of music’s leading figures go head to head in a 5-hour set. Tech-house giants Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli go head to head at Circus for the first time. Both founders of two hugely revered labels, Rejected and Saved, each has had an incredible year with the Dutch maestro’s consistent world touring continuing to elevate his standing further. Nic is a Grammy nominated producer who has worked with artists as diverse as Underworld, Kylie Minogue, U.N.K.L.E, Loco Dice, Josh Wink and Tracey Thorn in addition to producing a plethora of solo club focused tracks that have achieved both critical and commercial acclaim.

Ink sees Circus in typically reciprocal form, seeking to give something back to those who have supported the club. Scott Lewis is a tireless exponent who embodies the club’s tech-house side; a peerlessly good local spinner whose music knowledge continues to suffuse through each superlative set. Sean Stephenson is one of the team behind Circus and Chibuku operations and gets to lay down some aural goodness too. Finally there are two local names rounding off the billing, with Circus DJ comp winner Lukas is invited back. John Ryan is the man who helped instil house music into the very veins of Yousef, John makes his long-awaited return to Circus.
