The Warehouse rave scene continues to thrive in Manchester, with a host of promoters going back to the original Detroit and Chicago template of housing big sound systems and killer DJs in bare, disused buildings across unusual locations.

Whilst those early pioneers weren't doing it out of choice and more through necessity, it's got to be said that real warehouse raves generate the perfect clubbing experience, creating a raw authenticity difficult to replicate elsewhere.

Leading the charge on the Manchester warehouse scene is the Not So Secret Warehouse Party crew, whose line up choices and location scouting skills border on the formidable.

Friday March 27th sees them hook up with disco and edits hero Greg Wilson, a man well versed in the art of DJing. His endless collection of re-imagined classics and extended edits act as perfect crowd pleasing fodder, expect this one to go off. Get your tickets here.

On Friday April 24th, Rush hour boss and DJing genius Hunee heads to the Salford warehouse rave with a three hour set lined up. Not only is his label one of the most exciting in underground dance music, his range as a DJ is almost infinite. Taking in funk, soul, techno, house and more, Hunee weaves together disparate genres for fun, and does it in absolute style. Check out his set at the Trouw Closing Party above to see what we mean. Get your tickets here.

Another celebrated crate digger hits Anchorage on May 1st, Nightmares on Wax. With a career that started out in hip house, before landing on dubbed out, downtempo bliss and hip hop, expect a real 'Smoker's Delight' as he plunders the very bet in soulful, engrossing electronica, house, disco and more. Grab your tickets here.
