If it's a grand finale to 2008 you're after, tickets for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra's Last Night Of The Proms are a must. They'll be playing all the classics you'd expect including Jerusalem, Land Of Hope And Glory and Rule Britannia, along with favourites from Lennon and Mc Cartney and West Side Story. Auld Lang Syne will round off this gala evening as the clock strikes 12.

For a romantic, glamorous and mysterious end to 2008, don your mask, leave your gondola outside and enter The Venetian Masquerade themed party at Knowsley Park.
