Review of The Garden Show at Stansted Park

Our initial experience was made dreadful by the traffic jam caused by a very slow parking process. A lack of urgency in moving people on and directing them resulted in a 110 minute journey for the last 3 miles. The approach from Havant was nightmarish. Otherwise it was fun and once frayed tempers had been soothed by copious quantities of Chilean red wine a sense of wellbeing overcame our party. Why it should have been thus on the Friday we could only guess. The most popular answer was that since the average age of those attending was on the "senior citizen" end of the scale, a decision was made to avoid the weekend crush. We wonder what the weekend traffic was like on Saturday and Sunday. It was probably light. Everyone went on Friday!

Great day out in lovely surroundings,both my wife and I are disabled and the staff made our visit so easy,we would like to thank everybody who went out of their way to accomadate us.

the queues to get in where beyond dreadful. Having to sit in your car for nearly two hours is NO fun as all the traffic poured in from different areas making it grid locked

Standstead have had this problem before so if want to put on big events then they need to do the same as Goodwood and improve their traffic flow by different entrance/one way flows or whatever!!!

I have been attending this show for many years now and it is an unmissable event for me. Top quality crafts, food and plants and much more. I always come away full of inspiration for my home and garden. The venue is superb and well- managed.

A lovely day out with a very good choice of food. However as it was rather muggy we only went into one large marquee -too stuffy!

When we arrived with our pre booked tickets the queueing system was very confusing but once inside the show ground had plenty of space to move around easily. Everyone was very helpful and the plants, products and outside catering offered something for everybody. My friend and I have attended this event annually for 4 years and it did not disappoint.

I have been bringing my elderly parents to Stansted Park for some years now and we always have a really enjoyable time, I did mention last year that the lack of seating at the event needed to be look at, as the large number of visitors are elderly and they do struggle, this year I came prepared and bought my own and trolleyed them round with us and Iam glad I did because again the only seats availble were near the food tents and there did not seem to be many of them, can I ask that this is looked at hopefully next year I come I will see an improvment.
