Review of Back By Dope Demand
For -I went with a good mate of mine and we arrived shortly after 9pm. Initial impressions were of a really cool venue, however a bit small for this type of event, there wasn't a whole lot of room to get up and dance properly. Having said that, the bar prices were reasonable and the guy on the decks at 9pm was really getting us in the party mood, loved the light rig too, less smoke please - as at certain points couldn't see what was going on lol.
Against - It seemed there was a lot more in the venue, perhaps a cap needs to be in place for overall numbers, including staff, guests and clubbers. There was an uneasy feeling growing that something was about to kick off, so we left around 11.15pm. I've recommended this venue and event, purely on the basis that if controls were put in place and policed, that would put my mind at ease. We've also been to More Cake at Park Hall to see Stu Allan and that was good event, so that's why we came here.
All in all, good but could be better.
Review of Jacked Easter Special with Marshall Jefferson
Quarterly House music club night put on by clubbers for clubbers. Fantastic friendly venue and much loved resident DJ's joined by legendary local and internationally renowned guests. Fabulous night with chicago house music legend Marshall Jefferson who took the roof off the place. Mixed agegroup crowd with young and old getting down together. Recommended.
