This weekend sees Thank Fuck It’s Friday offer Pleasurekraft and Luke Pompey, while on Saturday Kaluki  brings Germanic Groove Goliath Nick Curly to the legendary Manchester venue.

Pleasurekraft are a USA and Swedish duo – aka Kaveh Soroush & Kalle Ronngardh – who have been plying deep, groove heavy, underground techno since last year when they made their debut on electronica’s vibrant scene.

Ex amateur boxer Luke Pompey packs a huge punch – not just in the ring as he used to do in his youth, but now as one of the UK’s brightest young stars. With residencies at Kissdafunk and Filth under his belt and also a string of appearances in Ibiza and around the world, Luke’s a very hot property who makes his debut at TFIF. Support as ever comes from resident Dutch Rudder.

And then one day later there’s a line-up which fully deserves being paid for twice at Kaluki, with two of the most titanic stars of modern house and techno being invited down. Topping the bill is Nick Curly, a man who needs little introduction. He’s up there with the likes of DJ Sneak and Derrick Carter and many top European artists, and with a Space Ibiza residency alongside a mix compilation for Cocoon, proof that his White Isle heritage couldn’t be stronger. Put simply, the boy’s got some funk.

Joining him will be a special live showcase from Christian Burkhardt. With releases on the likes of Mobilee and Raum... Musik, his stature continues to rise with greater depth daily and promises to be an exciting glimpse into the future of house and techno. The Sankeys resident roster, including a recently anointed Darius Syrossian who is becoming an international jetsetter in his own right, ably backs up proceedings. In Treehouse the lineup’s pretty damn good too: Richie Ahmed, Plastic Co., Jay Smith are all on deck duty.
