Following a pilot programme by the government back in October, music videos in the UK will now be forced to adopt an age rating system, in much the same way as regular movies.
Working alongside YouTube and Vevo, the British Board of Film Classification have built a ratings system that will require major labels like Sony Music, Warner and Universal to submit music videos to them ahead of their release for classification.
So far, 132 videos have been submitted to the BBFC, with most gaining a 12 or 15 rating. Dizzee Rascal's horror-tastic 'Couple of Stacks' was the only one to get an 18 rating.
