As one of the Chicago guard to have repeatedly struck a chord in the European house scene, the masterful veteran Derrick Carter has for well over two decades been the go to DJ for the finest house parties across the continent. 

Having taken to DJing at a young age, spinning everything from funk to soul and disco, Derrick Carter soon established himself not only as a certified dancefloor smasher behind the decks, but also a forward thinking producer by way of his and Mark Farina's Symbols & Instruments project - A sublime coalition that pioneered a sound somewhere in between techno, ambient, and house, resulting in an EP that remains fresh and inventive down to today.

Derrick's flirtations with varying genres is something that he continues to pride himself with today, as his sets regularly involve old school disco, soul, jazz, new wave, and a host of other styles, which he fits into one dancefloor primed, joyous experience (as seen above).

His arrival at Brighton's Audio venue for the faultless Inspired crew will see him unleash an attack of unearthed gems, killer classics and a few curve balls in there too to keep the discerning ravers on their toes.
