Not feeling too Christmassy yet? Shopping getting you down? Give your weary feet a rest and head down to the Cornerhouse Cinema, where they're showing a programme of festive films all week to melt even the most humbuggiest of hearts.
A selection of Christmas films will be showing at The Cornerhouse until Friday, with festive classics such as White Christmas and It's a Wonderful Life providing plenty of opportunities to soak up some christmas cheer.

White Christmas
Directed by Michael Curtiz (Casablanca) this heartwarming Christmas tale is a true joy to watch and includes a veritable treasury of Irving Berlin classic tunes: “Sisters,” “Blue Skies,” and of course “White Christmas”.

It's a Wonderful Life
The ultimate feel good and yuletide favourite, from Oscar-winning director Frank Capra, returns for another Christmas! Hollywood legend James Stewart stars as George Bailey – a despairing businessmen who receives a visit from Clarence, a celestial messenger who prevents George from jumping into a freezing river on Christmas eve. The pair travel together through moments in George’s life to show him what the world would be like if he had never existed. A genuinely tender and unforgettable classic.

Meet me in St. Louis
