Famed for its championing of underground dance music, Camp and Furnace is well established as THE rave space for the discerning Liverpool clubber - the next few weeks alone see the likes of Leftwing & Kody, Koan Sound and Caribou grace the venue.

However, November 19th sees something a bit different from the faultless venue, a live set from Canadian modern classical and experimental, well, genius - Tim Hecker.

Now a regular on top notch post rock and ambient label Kranky, home to the likes of Stars Of The Lid, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Grouper no less, Tim Hecker has in his 13 year recording career been burrowing himself into the consciousness of the avant garde and modern classic fraternity.

The journalistic world has not been short on praise for the talented auteur, responsible for some of the most gorgeous, textured works of art this generation has ever produced.

Uncut's review of his latest LP Virgins (stream it above) hailed it's irresistible beauty, whilst Mojo hit the nail on the head when they described it as “Very sad and very beautiful. When the last ton of obsolete CDs is disposed of in a final acre of Euro landfill, this should be the soundtrack."
