SIMON JAYMES aka Simon Humphrey was Born in Pembury, Kent, and raised in East Sussex, UK, on martial arts, singing in the choir and asthma pumps. He moved to London when 14 years old to attend The Sylvia Young Theatre School after garnering interest from playing the juvenile lead in both ’Conversations with my father’ directed by Alan Ayckbourne, (The Old Vic) and The New Shakespeare Company’s ‘The Music Man’. He continued on to Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance when 16 years old where he trained as a Ballet & Contemporary dancer and also where he first took an interest in playing the guitar and song writing his crooked little heart out for “peace and peanuts”
Simon’s career to date has mostly consisted of traveling the world dancing and acting with various companies including Matthew Bourne’s New Adventure Motion Pictures and Tetsuya Kumakawa’s K-Ballet Company (Japan). He also appeared in: ‘The Beautiful Game’ by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton and alongside Jim Dale in Cameron Mackintosh’s Production of ’OLIVER!’ at the London Palladium, plus appearing as both a featured and supporting artist in various TV programs and films including Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
