Tom Real Welcome To The World Of Fakt!
Listen up as 2008 looks set to be the year DJ, producer and Fakt Recordings A&R Tom Real really begins to makes his mark on global dancefloors. Kicking things off on New Year's Eve in Brazil which saw Tom DJing to a crowd of thousands at the mental Universo Paralello 8 festival alongside two further gigs in the country. On the production front Tom has already dropped four brand new tracks on his Fakt imprint and is busy in the studio working on more productions and remix work setting the groundwork for a very solid year.
2007 saw Tom play peak time sets at several of the UK's leading festivals including Glastonbury, The Glade, Wildchild Outside, Sunrise Celebration and The Waveform Project. There was plenty of action across the UK club scene too as well as trips to Russia and Greece. Alongside award winning producer The Rogue Element the duo remixed legendary US dance act The Crystal Method for a special tenth anniversary remix album which also featured Paul Oakenfold, Deadmau5, MSTRKRFT, Hyper and many more.
Originally known for his breakbeat production work, Tom is now firmly focused on four-to-the-floor music citing tech house, techno and electro as his inspiration and anyone lucky enough to catch his sets will testify that his bass-heavy sound delivers a full-on dancefloor experience. With the launch of his Fakt Recordings imprint at the tail end of 2007 alongside super-producer Black Russian, Tom will have the platform to fully explore his passion for all these sounds. His first four releases as part of the Get Fakt EP series have seen support from Hernan Cattaneo, Acid Jacks, Alex Gopher, Etienne De Crecy, Greg Churchill, autoKratz, Jon Carter, Remute, Slok and many more.
Next up on the agenda is a packed studio schedule working on his own production work alongside remixes, while a tour of Australia is already being lined-up for first quarter of 2008. There'll be plenty of opportunities to catch him in the UK, of course, but his diary is filling up fast, so early booking is essential. Selected press cuttings can also be found on Toms MySpace page.
