The Centrifuge is a UK-based collective exploring the experimental side of electronic music, IDM, searing breakcore, 8-bit neo-rave, drumcore and beyond...we are pioneering a NEW kind of interactive club/rave experience using media, code, augmented reality, games and much more LIVE at events in Nottingham and London. The roots of The Centrifuge are from the Nottingham-based Livewax events, which saw our resident talent pitch up against luminaries such as DJ Scotch Egg, Ceephax, Breakage, Jimmy Edgar, Tim Exile, Dillinja, Phil Kieran, The Gasman, The Liberators, Shitmat and heaps of others, winning much respect in the process. The other side of the equation originated from the London FFaction events, which started from the same humble Old Street beginnings as Bangface, at Trafik, Old Street in 2004!! We have put togther around 30 events in the last 12 months, and have taken apart everything from squats, strip clubs, warehouses and art galleries to bars, pubs, clubs and even schools!
