Reviews and comments about Luxury Penthouse Waterfront Apartment
Marc Healey | Review of Luxury Penthouse Waterfront Apartment Overall rating: ![]() Myself, My Partner and two teenage daughters stayed at this apartment on Sunday 19th feb 2012. Having finally found the Hotel where you pick the keys up,(stupid one way systems and aa route finder), we got to the apartment block only to be bamboozled by the key fob and different methods of opening gates and doors. Upon dumping the girls and sussing things out on my own, ie where my allotted parking slot was then trying to work out how to get my car up on the ramp), im of medium intelligence but a bit of direction from the Hotel would not have gone a miss!!, i did find the concierge to be most un-helpfull. When asking him questions he spoke like i was from Mars, some people may say Burnley is another Planet, but he was obviously too engrossed in the Football on tv that i was clearly disturbing him from!!. Having said that, Job done, i managed then the day began... The two apartment blocks are adjoined by the car park and having had no direction we went up the wrong lift to floor ten. WRONG BLOCK!! We then went up the other block to the top floor 20([pure guess we just knew penthouse to be at the top), to find it is not room 401 as stated but 104. Fortunately they were the only down sides to our stay, the apartment is absolutely amazing, decor, furnishings,(although a bigger tv than 32" for that room is defo required), having said that it did not get switched on as the view was more than enough with the radio on (even for two teens who kept saying wow and even ignored thier phones!!!). Everything was there from complimentary coffee, tea and sugar, to spare light bulbs and cleaning supplies. Ignore previous comments about un-cleanliness, this was obviously an admin glitch ie cleaner not turning up etc. I purposely went through it with a fine tooth comb and having stayed in a top class apartment at the Bellagio las Vegas, i can honestly say it compared well. My one and only gripe, not the low bed thats just modern, was the toilet seat was loose and actually fell off in my hand at 1am. That took some mending quietly!!!, having said that i am sure it will be rectified by now as i have mentioned it to the Hotel. This is a top class self catering apartment, with amazing views, good security, perfect location and is probably worth in the region of 3-400.000 pounds to buy, it may not be the cheapest stayover for a night but £150.00 for the night is about right. The girls actually wanted to stay and we are definitely re-booking for longer next time. An ashtray on the Balcony for us dirty smokers is a must!!. Overall, recommend to anyone and will return... | |||||||||||||||
