NB's is a lovely warm and friendly guesthouse in the Merchiston area of Edinburgh located approximately 1 mile south of Princes Street and takes just 15-20 minutes to walk to the Center and Edinburgh Castle or guests can catch a bus right outside and be there in 8 minutes. Buses run every 8-10 minutes as well as night buses. A Taxi will take just 5 minutes. We can offer lots of sight seeing advice and organise sight seeing tours all over Scotland using the best tour company in Edinburgh who also collect and return you fromto the Guesthouse. At NB's Guesthouse we want to ensure you have the most relaxing and pleasurable break possible. You will find your room immaculately clean with comfortable furnishings and decor, along with black-out Roman blinds and very good quality beds to ensure a deep and relaxing sleep. Free wifi is also available in the guesthouse. Parking must be pre-booked and is subject to availability at ?10.00 per night. Breakfast is available for ?5.00 per person per day and can be booked upon arrival. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information:TERMS and CONDITIONS:BOOKING CONFIRMATIONUpon receipt of guests' booking request the value of the first night only is automatically taken as a deposit from the payment card supplied. This is non-refundable at all times. If invalid payment card details are supplied, the guest will be alerted and given 24hrs to provide an alternative method of payment, without which and after which the booking will be cancelled. Please note that any credit card transactions are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee. Debit cards are not subject to this transaction fee. The remainder of the balance is payable upon departure. Cheques are not accepted.PAYMENT FEESPlease note that all credit card payments (including Visa, Mastercard, American Express) will incur a credit card transaction fee of 2.5% per transaction.Debit cards will not incur this transaction fee.CANCELLATION POLICYFirst night deposit payment is non-refundable at all times and full balance is only payable if booking is cancelled within 14 days before arrival date and is non-refundable at all times.RECEPTION, CHECK IN and CHECK OUTDue to being a family-run business and not a Hotel, we do not offer a 24hr Reception. Therefore, we may not always be available on the premises in person. Reception is open from 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm at weekends. There is an out of hours call center available for emergencies only.CHECK INCheck in is available from 2pm and late arrivals are accepted however guests must notify Reception in advance in order to arrange entry to the guesthouse out of hours.CHECK OUTCheck out is strictly by 10am. Late check out may incur a penalty of that night's stay at the Management's discretion.BREAKFASTBreakfast is only included with ensuite room bookings only. Standard or Family Room bookings do not include breakfast however is available at ?5 per person per day and can be booked upon arrival at the Guesthouse.FULLY NO-SMOKING POLICYOn 26 March 2006 the law on smoking in Scotland changed. Smoking is no longer permitted in enclosed public places. Failure to comply with the law is now a criminal offence and individuals will receive a fixed penalty of ?200 for smoking in a no-smoking premises. This will be automatically deducted from your payment card.LEFT LUGGAGEDue to legal restrictions, we regret that we are unable to provide a left luggage service for guests. However, Edinburgh Council do provide left luggage facilities at both St Andrews Bus Station and Waverley Train Station which are very easily reached within the City Centre. The airport bus also leaves from both these locations.PARKINGParking in Edinburgh is extremely difficult, very expensive and virtually impossible within the City Centre. There is unrestricted on-street parking available close to our Guesthouse between the hours of 5.30pm and 8.30am Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, however there are 3 bookable spaces at NB's Guesthouse, subject to availability for ?10 per night. Parking must be pre-booked with Reception.GENERAL NOTESBECAUSE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE IF A CANCELLATION IS NECESSARY, TRAVEL INSURANCE IS ESSENTIAL WHEN MAKING A RESERVATION. We assume that prior to booking all guests have read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly.Please note any transgressions to the above rules or damage caused by guests will be liable to financial penalties at the Owner's discretion. We reserve the right to cancel any stay or booking found to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions, or behaving in an anti-social manner, which upsets other guests and staff. Please note these Terms and Conditions are to maximise the comfort of our guests during their stay.
