The Ship Hotelis the only hotel located within the old city walls of Chichester and is within easy reach of Chichester Cathedral, The Festival Theatre and Goodwood. The former home of Admiral Sir George Murray, it retains much of its Georgian and Regency interior with a magnificent Adam staircase. The new 'Place at The Ship' bar and brasserie has been recently refurbished and offers guests a relaxed and informal environment for meeting and dining.The menu varies with seasonal availability, and will appeal to customers who like the freshest foods simply cooked to bring out their fullest natural flavours. There's an emphasis on local, free range and organic ingredients. Pre Theatre menus are available Monday to Friday from 5.30pm until 7.00pm.and the full dinner menu until 10.00pm.All 36 bedrooms are being refurbished with new en-suite bathrooms and showers, the very best beds and mattresses, soft feather or hypoallergenic pillows and duvets, Egyptian cotton bedding and thick fluffy towels, and bespoke toiletries. 15 of the bedrooms have been completed and it is aimed to have the remainder finished by September 2007
