As one of the UK’s most style-conscious cities, Leeds certainly deserves its reputation as ‘The Knightsbridge of the North’. People do say this, honestly. So it’s no wonder that the city’s shopping scene reflects this reputation – with five miles of shopping streets, a pedestrianised city centre, five indoor shopping centres, and plenty of designer boutiques including Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and Gieves and Hawkes. Nightlife
With one of the best nightlife and clubbing scenes in the country, Leeds is awash with bars and clubs to suit every kind of student and every sort of night out. You’ll find many of these in the student hotspot of Headingley, an area which will no doubt be responsible for the drinking away of plenty of brain cells during the next three years. Check out The Box and The Skyrack in particular – two of the city’s most popular student haunts.
