Finding our Tribe Tribe of Joy began after travelling to South Africa to the townships of Durban and Soweto. It was then that Mooreish first discovered the sounds of South African house music. He knew then that his love of house music had found its spiritual home. Those deep, afro beats filled with both the hardship yet the joy and hope of its people were the anthem his heart had been searching for the words to sing. The culture of house music , the dance moves, the fashion, the art were all part of this captivating, inspiring and empowering movement it enveloped him. He knew right then that this force, this tribe would be a musical home for all house lovers across the globe. On returning to the UK in 2018 Moorerish gathered a group of like-minded DJ’s and began Afro house events in Manchester. Journey of our Tribe Tribe of Joy has now grown into a life style brand, a collaborative of house culture and Afrofuturism. Tribe of Joy is more than night club events. Our aim is that through committed passionate endeavour we will collaborate with creative thinking influencers for consistent innovation. We will inspire the growth of afro house culture through Afro house, afro house dance events , afro house visual art and fashion. Tribe of Joy celebrates and showcases house music with a futuristic vision of ancestral drums and rhythms. Our events takes the you on a spiritual journey where you are free to connect with your ancestors and your fellow tribe people joyously, freely and with love. Tribe of Joy You will know our Tribe when you see us. The mask, patterns and colours are a symbolism of joy, leadership, knowledge, versatility and good fortune. Through our emblem we symbolise modern and indigenous Africans from the continent and across the diaspora.
