Date published: 23rd Jan 2023
Cheshire’s Bluedot Festival has announced artists, family and kids activities, and science, art, and culture activities for its 2023 edition.
Located at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Macclesfield, the three-day festival, running from the 20th - 23rd of July this year, is welcoming huge names, including Pavement, Grace Jones, Roisin Murphy, Leftfield, and Max Richter with the BBC Concert Orchestra to its stages.
Incredibly diverse with its musical offering, further down on the poster, there's Young Fathers, Annie Mac, Django Django, Dry Cleaning, and Tinariwen. Watch the video below for the full lineup.
A cracking family event, some of the many kid's activities for the weekend include the Big Fish Little Fish's Cosmic Disco, the Actual Reality Arcade, Jedi Lightsaber Training, the kids cinema, Our Kid’s Social Silent Disco, and DJ School.
Grown-ups can look forward to the Real Ale Festival, fantastic local food such as local fine dining restaurant Where The Light Gets In, wellness activities, the best comedians on the circuit, talks from expert scientists, the luminarium, and more.
The festival has also revealed this year's theme will be “Space Carnival”, describing it as a "riot of colour and dance.”
Following a sold out event last year, this award-winning fest is certain to go down a treat this year too. Tickets go on sale on Friday the 27th of January (this Friday) at 10 am. So if you fancy a bit of Bluedot in 2023, set your alarms now because it’ll most definitely sell out!
