Wickerman Tickets on sale this Friday

After extraordinary demand, the first batch of tickets for the 2011 Wickerman Festival has now sold out. Wickerfans who missed out on the Early Bird deal shouldnt worry too much though, as general release tickets will be available online from this Friday December 17th on Skiddle.com

An adult weekend ticket to the historic tenth Wickerman Festival on 22 and 23 July 2011 will cost £90 online, including camping and car parking. Concessions (13-15 years old) will cost £45 for a limited time and will only be available online. Children under 13 go free.

Helen Chalmers, festival coordinator, said: Were always heartened by how many fans buy tickets to Wickerman without a single band being announced. These people trust us to bring them the kind of festival experience that can only be had at Wickerman. Weve come a long way since the festival first started almost ten years ago and were working night and day to make sure the 2011 Wickerman is the most memorable yet.

Wickerfans will also be able to buy an additional £30 ticket to allow them to bring their caravan/campervan or trailer tent and park them up in either the Family Only Area (always in great demand) or the General Area. For people who cant be without the comforts of home, you add a further £50 to this ticket price to get electrical hook up too.

Theres also the option of staying in one of the wonderful tipis. They come in standard (£465) and luxury (£565) and each sleep six people making it only £77.50/ £94 extra per person, in addition to the ticket price.

The exceptionally organised Wickerfan can also buy their access tickets for the Down n Dirty toilets and the Down n Dirty showers at £8 for each facility.

Online purchases are in the form of e-tickets and printed out by customers at home the perfect way to guarantee a happy face on Christmas Day. Festive Wickerfans could even match their tickets with one of the limited edition Wickerman Christmas cards.

The first batch of tickets went on sale on Halloween this year and to mark 2011 being Wickermans tenth year, every tenth Early Bird ticket was sold at the 2002 price of £23. Wickerman organisers had the enjoyable task of contacting the many lucky Wickerfans to inform them that not only were they lucky enough to get tickets from the first batch, they won a hefty £62 off their purchase price.
