The announcement coincides with the airing tonight at 9.00 pm on BBC Three of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ which was filmed at this year’s Wickerman Festival. Mark Loney, from Glasgow, arranged the wedding for his bride, Jill McClintock without her knowledge after she took the plunge and handed all control of the celebrations over to him. Wickerman fans can tune in tonight to find out whether it was a wedding day to remember for the happy couple.

The Wickerman Festival is an event very close to our hearts. We don't know if it's the rolling countryside, the glorious weather, the 8 stages of entertainment providing a mix of punk, rock, indie and electro and a unique blend of everything in between, or the burning of a 35ft Wickerman at midnight that makes The Wickerman Festival so special, but what we do know is we return every year for another snippet of madness, and will do again in July 2013.

It's the ideal festival for first timers looking to experience a weekend of wonder in a tent, or for that family holiday with a twist. Indeed 'family friendly' is The Wickerman Festival's middle name - so those looking to explore a hedonistic mix of on-stage entertainment whilst the kids are entertained by story telling, circus tricks and cinema have found their destination for Summer 2013.
