WOWfest Global Party Colours the World of Wight in August 2012

A
major new music festival is to be held on the Isle of Wight across 3 days this
August. WOWfest will host 5 main stages showcasing an exciting range of famous
names from the world reggae, ska, roots, urban, world music, jazz, burlesque and
headline acts, attracting up to 20,000 people to the event.

As well as this diverse range of music, there
will be a wide variety of entertainment during the day and camping available
over the three days.

The party starts on Friday 17th
August and runs until Sunday 19th August. A range of camping is
available at the festival from camping pitches to luxury tipis, with several
options between. A limited number of day tickets are available, as well as
weekend tickets and early bird options.

WOWfest supports Eco-Conscious Festival
Tourism and encourages festival goers to travel the island by bus or bike,
public transport or lift sharing. The Sunshine Trail cycle route leads to the
site, and festival tickets include free travel on Southern
Vectis Buses. In addition, WOWfest is partnering the following
charities: Oxfam, Solar Aid, Building
Schools for Africa, Sustrans, IW NHS Juba project.

More details about the event and an
announcement of headline acts will be made in mid-March.

£99 introductory early bird adult Weekend
tickets now available (normal full price Adult Weekender £140). Young Weekender
tickets for children aged 12 years and under are free (limited numbers), whilst
Student Weekender introductory early bird tickets for 13 to 17 year olds cost
£85 (normal price £95).
