WIN! Ian Brown Plays Chibuku Easter Party

It’s taken blood, sweat and tears. It’s taken bulky brown envelopes, suitcases left in train stations and coded MSN conversations with someone known only as Mother Hen. Ian Brown is playing Chibuku!

It’s taken blood, sweat and tears. It’s taken bulky brown envelopes, suitcases left in train stations and coded MSN conversations with someone known only as Mother Hen.

It’s taken Rich on a crusade, Will to the limits and Lewis-la to the infirmary. It’s taken cunning, guile and a vulpine nature, it’s taken gambles, never saying die and late night head scratching and it’s taken well over year to happen but happen it will on Easter Sunday April 16th…

…Ian Brown is playing Chibuku!

This is going to be something mammoth.

And it’s not just about our one very special guest - there are quite a few of them. Andy and Tom make a welcome return, two Liverpool faves, AKA Groove Armada for a four hour set! Eschewing the conventional two hour blasts they have got four of them to rock the supports out of the Main Room roof with funked up dubby beats to all out peak time bangers. The boys won’t be back in the city for a long time to catch them while you can!

Then there’s the small matters of (deep, deep breath) The Scratch Perverts,
DJ Marky & MC Dynamite, Friction, Foreign Beggars (Live), Blakey (1xtra), Adam Freeland and Evil 9…!

Not bad for an Easter Sunday!

The 6th birthday party was immense and this might just eclipse it. We hope so. Ian Brown plays many gigs but he rarely, hardly ever plays clubs, and it’s a long time let alone since he played in Liverpool full stop. So a couple of histories in the making.

And let’s not forget the residents… Chris and Matt will as ever nail it with their 4 deck 2 mixer skills that are on par with… well, with the best of them! And a very welcome change for DJ Emma to stoke things up in the main room for GA with some house and techy treats.

As they say… you have been warned!
