Comprising two lead singers from the original band – Dave Hemingway and Ali Wheeler – plus other original members, The South will play a greatest hits set of The Beautiful South's best loved tracks, including ‘Song For Whoever’, ‘Perfect Ten’, ‘Rotterdam’, ‘Don't Marry Her’, ‘You Keep It All In’, ‘Old Red Eyes Is Back’ and many more. 

Returning to Bella on the Hothouse Stage line-up on Friday is Northern Ireland’s Foy Vance, who has been handpicked by Ed Sheeran to tour with him this year. Foy last played the festival in 2005.

Also appearing on the main stage on the Friday evening is a mystery special guest, whose identity will not be revealed until they take to the stage at 6.30pm. "But', hinted promoter Joe Gibbs, "judging by their previous receptions at Bella, they’re going to be a popular choice.”

More acts added to the Belladrum line-up include Man Like Me, Magnetic North, Dog Is Dead, Karima Francis, Rae Morris, Marc O’Reilly, Ellen &The Escapades, The Ballachulish Hellhounds, Hoodja,  Make Sparks, Zombia Militia; and Highland youth Celtic groups Feis Rois and TMC Youth Fiddlers.

Singer songwriter Lianne La Havas has had to cancel her performance at Belladrum due to US touring commitments.

Belladrum 2012 takes place in the beautiful Highland surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire. The independent festival has built a reputation for its eclectic line-ups, its off beat non-musical entertainments and its all-ages approach.
