Secret Golf Joins the Wickerman Festival

It's golf, but not as we know it.In yet another festival first, the Secret Golf Society will be hosting a golf tournament at the Wickerman. Festival

"The Wickerman Challenge" will feature a nine hole agriculturally themed golf course within the confines of the festival site. The challenge winner will partner a celebrity at a top golf course in the autumn of 2009. The winner of that challenge will go on to something bigger and better which we are unable to reveal at this time, but if you like golf you really will like this. We promise.

The Secret Golf society are aiming events at the younger "Golf-punk" generation and the Wickerman will be one in a series of cool wacky golf challenges. Membership of the Secret Golf Society is required to participate in the Wickerman Challenge whilst the themed course will be made available to non-members over the rest of the weekend. Intrigued? Yes we are, "golf for people who love golf but not the nonsense that goes with it."

The Secret Golf Society is riddled with the famous and influential, some of whom may very well compete in the Wickerman Challenge.

For those interested in a round of themed golf at the Wickerman golf equipment and scorecards will be available at a reasonable fee. Rumour has it as well that various acts from the festival will also be participating in a round or two, so if you fancy a game against the Cuban Brothers, KT Tunstall, The Lancashire Hotpots or Mr C then you only have to ask. We might say no, but then that's the beauty of the game.
