The Christmas period is always made a whole lot more exciting when the prospect of the next year's Time Warp Mannheim festival starts becoming a reality. Back in December, while most people were getting into the festive spirit, wrapping presents and preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus, some of us were closely monitoring the day by day release of this year's Time Warp line-up with our own religious countdown. The result was the biggest line-up to date.

Where to start?! Cocoon boss Sven Vath of course returns, with comrades Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice and Mathias Kaden to supply us with an onslaught of techno house, whilst Minus man Richie Hawtin and his label stalwarts Gaiser and Matador (both performing their own live sets) join the show with a more technical approach. Other heavyweights from the industry include long standing legends Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier, Cadenza's front-man Luciano, Music On's Marco Carola and Time Warp regular Dubfire. The roster truly reflects techno from all corners, and the list most certainly doesn't end there.

The six floors of Maimarkthalle will also feature the likes of Jamie Jones and his Hot Creations deep house, team Visionquest, Magda, Matthias Tanzmann, Monika Kruse, Nick Curly and Karotte. Driving techno comes in the form of Chris Liebing, Marcel Detmman and Len Faki and there's plenty more going on which you can see from the full line-up here.

Prepare to be subject to the most cutting edge technology intertwined with the best techno around in all its forms as you explore the huge complex that plays home to Time Warp.

The madness starts at 19:30 on Saturday 6th April and finishes some time the next afternoon – to say it's a magical and mind-blowing marathon which will change your life would be an understatement. With only a few weeks to go, are you ready? Check out last year's official after movie for a taster of what you can expect.
