Northern Funk
Mr Beckett has been a real favourite with the One Central Street massive since his first visit, singing the Beatles classic Hey Jude to the crowd seemed to have captured your hearts.
Although you will hear plenty of funk and soul on the night, it could really be mixed with anything else, we have heard hip hop, indie, house classics, a touch of RnB and the odd drum and bass track played during his recent sets.
Doors open at 10:30pm and we go right through till you stop dancing
Funkademia
Most of the original soul-funk vinyl for the first Funkademia night was purchased from Jon Busstops legendary Busstop Records emporium in Chorlton & it's still warming the dancefloor today. Jon was the first ever guest DJ at Funkademia back in the Attic in 1996 & he's been our mixer-in-chief ever since. Not one to blow his own trumpet but we will - quite possibly the best vinyl mixer in clubland. His set will be seamless - trust us.
