Oneida add Manchester Date - 16/08/09 @ Islington Mill!

Cult Brooklyn rock group Oneida have been busy looking out their passports, after being confirmed for a rare British tour.

Heavy, psychedelic and utterly original Oneida are set to surprise British fans with a series of rare tour dates and although ATP veterans will have seen Oneida in the past this tour sees the band at only four UK venues. The band are in Europe to promote their tenth studio album and much anticipated second instalment of their Thank Your Parents triptych. Rated O' was released in July to excellent global ratings.

The band reached a whole host of new fans with The Wedding' and Preteen Weaponry', expect much the of the same from this supremely gifted outfit - coherent, intense, pyschedelic, krautrock grooves. No wonder they were asked to appear at New York's ATP event by 2009 curators The Flaming Lips. See them in Manchester at Islington Mill - it's a lot cheaper than flying to New York!
