Its all happening in Manchester's Northern Quarter this weekend...
Following the successful launch of Good for the Soul at The Aftershow in February, we are super excited about returning this Friday to Moho Live.
Last month Starsailors James Walsh was awesome in the main room and Phil Beckett simply tore up the Good for the Soul room with a classic DJ set, I just wish we had recorded it. Pictures from the night are now online .
This month Pete and the Pirates bring a bit of indie rock to Manchester, their first album release Little Death at the beginning of 2008 was a corker, since that release they have been constantly on the road spreading the good word and they also recently supported Maximo Park on a European tour. Mark and Leon from The Canteen join Good for the Soul in room two for a bit of indie, funk, soul, rock and roll. Live music from 7pm and DJs from 11:00pm, mention Good for the Soul on entry and save yourself some cash.
Then on Saturday night its all happening at Mint Lounge as we have a bit of an exclusive at Funkademia. We have secured the services of DJ David Dunne.

David has played most high profile venues in the UK and Europe including the legendary Hacienda. He has also had a very successful radio career and many people will recognise his name from Piccadilly Radio, Atlantic 252 and Kiss 102 in Manchester, or more recently with Galaxy FM, Hed Kandi and Ministry of Sound. He is very well known for his house sets, but David has an unrivalled love and knowledge of funk, soul and disco. David was very supportive of Funkademia in the early days and this Saturday he will be going to back to his roots and mixing it up with some nu cool classics for an exclusive DJ set at Funkademia from 10:30pm.
Joining him will be the ladies favourite Les Croasdaile and in the back room we welcome The Canteen DJ's back for some back room madness.....
