Funkademia 14th Birthday With Norman Jay

This November Manchesters longest running club night Funkademia celebrates its 14th birthday and to mark the occasion were getting on the decks the UKs premier black music dj Norman Jay MBE.

Were not normally renowned for getting on guest djs at Funkademia but we thought wed push the boat out to celebrate our hugely successful move to the Northern Quarters Mint Lounge. Norman will be gracing the main room decks for a Good Times party set through until close and were certain he will add his own sense of soulful style to Funkademia. In support will be Vinyl Exchanges DJ Russ who'll be getting things warmed up nicely.

In the Northern Funk room our very own Good for the Soul boys will be playing one of their infamous anything goes sets. Fresh from summer festival duties across the UK, including the Wickerman festival, expect to hear anything from funk to ska and from house to reggae
