Circus break summer hiatus for special show with Maya Jane Coles

Circus may be taking a summer break from its spiritual home of the Masque, but for revellers desperate for a Circus fix in the meantime, there's a sizzling session planned at The Shipping Forecast on Saturday July 30th.

Taking place in the intimate environ of the Funktion-One powered Hold, this special one-off party sees super starlet Maya Jane Coles making her Circus debut, with the club’s architect Yousef and resident spinner Lewis Boardman in attendance too.

Maya's wide-ranging influences— including Radio Slave, John Tejada and Steve Bug and seminal London parties Secretsundaze and Mulletover —inspired her own take on groove-laden house. Now Maya has evolved into the toast of the electronic scene, with her cerebral and meticulously-honed house music winning plaudits across the globe. Her Real Tone EP, including Simple Things and What They Say, is a master class in music. What better place than The Hold to get to know this bright new star.

Yousef has been busier than ever, with his 8-track Circus Reworks EP just dropping and his second artist album due soon. He recently returned to Space for the famed club’s epic opening party in Ibiza, and through the summer will be criss-crossing the planet for a string of dates whilst keeping one eye on Circus’s 9th birthday party this September.

After Yousef, Lewis remains the club’s longest serving resident and is a much respected DJ and producer. Having recently released on NRK and remixed Nina Kraviz and with music soon to drop on Souvenir Records, keep on the lookout for Lewis’ next slice of tech-house goodness.
