Background

I got a set of Soundlab DLP3s back in '95 when I was 18. They cost me 500 quid which was (a lot of dough at the time!). But after having a blast on my mates decks 2 years earlier I was addicted to mixing and had to get myself a pair! A starting buying tunes and practicing my mixing. It took me several months to get to what I would say was a reasonable standard of beat mixing. I spent the next 4 years buying tunes and honing my skills. This included arranging and playing out at parties with my mates at the time. I was also mad into clubbing, visiting clubs all over the countlry including Club UK (Birmingham), Ministry (London), Nation (Cream, Liverpool) etc...

In '01 I completed a DJ course in Worcester (which to be honest was more like a Youth Club for DJs). Here I teamed up with DJ Sumo, DJ General Lee, Webby X and DJ Keen. It was during this time that Cross Sexion was born (http://archive.worcesternews.co.uk/2001/12/17/294550.html). We ran Cross Sexion every month up until '02 when we were approached by the Sanctuary Nightclub in Birmingham (birth place of Godskitchen and now Barfly). The night was called Xstatic and was held in September of that year. It was a huge success and we pulled in well over 400 people, packing out the venue.

Since that I've due to work commitments I've been mainly mixing in my bedroom playing the odd party for friends and family. Just dont seem to have the time now for the promotional side of DJing, but maybe if you take a listen and like what you hear you can offer me a gig?!
